Welcome to pBuy, the PUMA virtual garage sale site. pBuy is open to all Magnolia area neighbors; you don't need to belong to PUMA to buy or sell items. You can use the "Browse" link to see all items currently up for sale. Click on any item you are interested in. Once an item is entered into pBuy all responsibility for the sale of the item is between buyer(s) and seller.

Buy-it-Now

If you really want an item, and think the "Buy-it-Now" price is reasonable, simply click on the "Buy-it-Now" email link at the bottom of the page. This should start up your email client, and you can email the seller your offer to buy the item at the "Buy-it-Now" price. The first buyer who offers the "Buy-it-Now" price will get the item. Arrangements can be made with the seller immediately to pay for and pick up the item.

Make a Lower Offer

You can make a lower offer by simply clicking on the "Make an Offer:" link at the bottom of the item page. This should start up your email client; you can then email the seller the amount of your offer. Note that seller may have included a minimum offer price. If the seller accepts the offer he/she will contact you to make arrangements.

Selling an Item

Once an item is up for sale, all dealings are between the buyer and seller. It is up to the seller to keep track of offers, and to contact the buyer to make arrangements. If buyer has offered the  Buy-it-Now price the item must be sold. The buyer can of course accept a lower offer. Please also email puma@magnoliaroad.net when object is sold or is to be removed. To enter an item into pBuy, simply send an email to puma@magnoliaroad.net with the following:

Short Description of the item:

A brief (8-10 words, ideally) description of the item that you are selling.

Buy-it-Now Price.

The price at which you would be happy to sell the item. The Buy-it-Now price must be at least $25. (If you have items you willing to sell for less than $25, group them together into a single item.)You must be prepared to sell the item to the first person who offers you this price.

Minimum Price (optional).

You can accept lower offers by offering a minimum price.

Your Name.

Not absolutely necessary.

Long Description.

The long description should give the buyers all the information possible to decide whether to make an offer or not. Include the item's condition, age, etc. Also, be sure to include any extra delivery or setup costs, if applicable. You may include your phone number if you like.

Photograph(s) of item.

If at all possible send one or more photographs of the item. Ideally these would be digital via email, but hardcopy photos are acceptable.

Info for buyer to contact you.

Send your email address and/or your telephone number. Once posted, all dealings will be between buyer and seller.
